Billie Grace Hammons

She was born August 8, 1924, to Walter Samuel and Lena Jane Haynie Parks in Luling, TX. Billie was a homemaker and was a caretaker for many in her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond E. Hammons; sister, Marylyn Edmonds; and three brothers, Walter S. Parks, Jr., George Richard Parks, and Julius Ray Parks.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Lynn Hammons Winchester and her husband Larry G. Winchester, Pamela Kay Hammons both of The Woodlands, TX; sister, Phyllis Jean Dreher and husband Fred of West Point, MS; two brothers, James Edward Parks of Forney, TX, Joe Allen Parks and wife Linda of Greenbrier, AR; two grandsons, Raymond Lawrence Winchester and wife Melissa Munson Winchester of Dallas, TX, Stephen Daniel Winchester and his wife Terri Savage Winchester of Spring, TX; one granddaughter, Sarah Kathleen Winchester Thornton and her husband Stephen Willis Thornton IV of Houston, TX; three great granddaughters, Catherine Marie and Emily Grace Winchester of Dallas, TX and Ashlynn Elizabeth Winchester of Spring, TX; and a loving group of nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her greatly.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, at Young’s.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Pastor Boyd Savage officiating.
