Billy Clifford Owens

Born on October 7, 1929 in the Hopewell Community; he was the son of John Wiley Owens and Mary Etta Ledbetter Owens. Billy previously worked for James Owens as a carpenter and plumber. He was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working in his vegetable garden. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vernon, Ray, Ferrell and Cecil Owens; along with his sisters, Lorene Mason, Fay Owens, Gladys Rogers and Arlene Bishop.

Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Lanelle Jennings Owens of Three Creeks; sons, Terry (Freda) Owens of Three Creeks and Rodney (Pam) Owens of Fox, AR; a brother, Omar Owens; a sister, Erma Hubbard both of Three Creeks; along with four grandchildren, Paul (Leah Ann) Owens, Tasha (Nathan) Harper, Kim (Chris) Gill, Heath Owens; two great grandchildren, Emma Claire and Peyton Owens; and special friends, Juanetia and W.L. Bryant of Three Creeks.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Three Creeks Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Gurley officiating. Interment will follow at Three Creeks Baptist Church Cemetery by Young’s Funeral Directors.
