Brenda Kay Hopkins

Brenda was born on July 16, 1949 to Sybille and Floyd Minor in Waldron Arkansas.  She was the fourth of five children.  She graduated Valedictorian of Waldron High School before earning a Master of Science in Chemistry degree from Henderson University. 

She was a teacher in all aspects of her life.  She taught Science and Math at El Dorado High School. She taught Sunday School. She inspired everyone who knew her, especially her husband, Tim; children, Timmy (Camille) Hopkins and Tony (Jessica) Hopkins; and grandchildren, Mikeal, Tripp, Eliana, Colin, and Isobel who were the light of her life.

Brenda was a Woman of Faith who selflessly served the will of the Lord. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God for much of her life. More recently, Brenda was a member of Smackover First Assembly of God.

Brenda is survived by many loving family members and friends. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00AM with a visitation one hour prior at Young's Funeral Directors.
