Carole "Jeannie" Wold

Born October 1, 1957 in Shreveport, LA she was the daughter of Raymond and Willie Lou Adams Goodwin as the youngest of four children.

Jeannie graduated from DeQueen High School in 1975 and later began her career as a medical transcriptionist. She was known for her excellence in her field. Jeannie served hospitals in Arkansas, California, Virginia and Georgia for over 40 years.

After retirement she moved to El Dorado to be closer to family. She was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church and enjoyed worshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jeannie loved her cats, scrapbooking, crafts, cooking, camping and going to the beach.

Preceding her in death along with her parents was her former husband, Ken Wold and a brother, Bruce Goodwin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Laura Elrod (Gene) of Lufkin, TX and Jan Wheelus (Mickey) of El Dorado and her special friend of 33 years, Evonne Teel of Virginia. Jeannie was a loving aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt to 24 nieces and nephews and a host of precious friends.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at Wyatt Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donny Hymer officiating. Interment will follow in Wyatt-Parnell Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The sisters would like to thank all the doctors and health care workers especially those at Devita and CARTI for their excellent care of Jeannie.
