I was the lady that did Ms. Carolyn's hair every Friday at 1: 00 for over a year. She was very happy to get her hair done. Mrs Hazel would always bring her.  She would come in and say Carolyn Murphy is my name.  Her hair was very beautiful when I was done.  Everytime she get ready to go she would say see you later alligator and I would say after a while crocodile.  She will definitely be missed. 

Stephen Murphy has been my best friend since he moved to Sugar Land, TX in  elementary school. Ohhh Miss Murphy, how I loved you. I received the word that you were likely in your last hours on this earth last Friday 02/01/2019 before lunch. I went to a semi regular bible study with some men at a local BBQ place here in Kerrville, TX after getting the news. I told the gang about the time when Carolyn called my parents and asked them to bring me over to the house immediately when I arrived home from baseball practice. Well,  the Murphy house on Montclair in Sugar Creek had just burned down “I could see the smoke from the ball field”. As soon as I got home, my dad scooped me up and took me to the detstroyed home, where Miss Murphy met us at the curb. She just about jerked me out of the car and in the Southern Voice that we all knew so well, she said with a firm tone “Tommy Daniels you come with me!!” She literally  pulled me into the charred house which was dripping from the water used to put out the fire and walked me over to a bookshelf with a bunch of burned up books on it.  She quickly pointed out that every book in that bookcase burned up. Except for one.  It happened to be a bible and for whatever reason she chose to share that with me. It left a huge impression on me, and It seems very fitting that Miss Carolyn passed away as I was sharing this story with my brothers in Christ. Stephen texted me when she passed and it was about 4 minutes after I was telling the story.  There are so many other stories that I could tell as the tears fall from my eyes. She was like a second mom to me. RIP Carolyn, I miss you so very much 😂

I was so lucky to get to meet and spend time with this wonderful lady she loved birthday party especially when it was hers she will always have a special place in my heart

I had the privilege of know Mrs. Carolyn for the past 4 to 5 years. She will greatly be missed. She was a very sweet lady that was greatly loved. I have memories of Rose reading to Mrs Carolyn and her loving it. Mrs Carolyn will be missed by my children.  She called Eli her ring tail tooter.  She called Stormy a princess because she is beautiful.  The stories that she would tell about when she was young. As I said she will be missed. 

I met Mrs C through Christy Lewis. I have had the privilege of caring for her for about a year and a half. She was a very whitty lady. We made many memories together but my fondest memory was when we stopped for lunch at Whatley's. I ordered us both burgers and we sat at a table near the door. I didn't get her to eat very well because she was to busy people watching. All of the sudden in the middle of the meal she said " Too many men in here;let's go." I asked for a to go plate and turned my back to place our unfinished burgers in it. I heard the buzzer on the door and turned around to find her half way out the door. We got in the car,and I asked her if she liked that burger ( which was amazing). She said "I was cold and outta place". I asked if she wanted to go back sometime and she said; "Yes, there was some nice men in there.". She was always cracking me up. Things changed so quickly with her sometimes. She taught me a lot,and I enjoyed spending time with her. She loved my kids and we will miss her terribly. I know she is at home singing "You are my Sunshine" with the Lord. To her family: I will continue to pray for you in the days to come. Rest assured "Sweet Carolina Sunshine " is shinning bright over us with our father now.
