Christy Lynn Martindale

Christy was a very strong woman in both life and faith, and she possessed wisdom beyond her age. She enjoyed sitting outside in her rocking chair, reading novels and the Bible. Christy was a clever, witty person, who wrote poetry, loved the ocean, and Jeopardy. She loved to cook and did it very well. She loved her family and friends and was always willing to help and put others before herself. Most of all she was a great daughter, sister, and aunt.

Survivors include her parents, Jackie and Joyce Martindale; two brothers, Jay and Jeri Martindale, Craig and Jenny Martindale all of El Dorado; grandmother, Bobbie Orr, of El Dorado, five nieces, Ty, Cameron, Kennady, Dakota Martindale, Alisa Smith; a nephew, Jayden Smith; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, December 11, 2011, in Young’s Chapel with Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
