Mr. David Beebe

David Elijah Beebe, 73, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, surrounded by family. Born December 2, 1952, he was the son of Jo Ann Burgess Beebe and Aaron Vance (A. V.) Beebe.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Vance Beebe, Sr., of El Dorado.

He leaves behind his wife, Laura Lynn Wilson Beebe of El Dorado, their son, Wilson Samuel Beebe of Seattle, WA; James Richard (Ricky) Beebe, his daughter, Jill Hanry (Jason) and her children Natalie Cope (Daniel), Brennan (Kennedy) and Aaron Cole; and son, James Beebe (Amanda) and their children, Cheyanne Plunkett, Amelia Beebe, Ashton Schibler, Jovi Beebe, Johanna Beebe; Michael Beebe, Sr.’s two sons, Michael V. Beebe, Jr. (Aimee) and their daughter, Makayla Beebe, and Adam B. Beebe (Alison), and their children, Liam Beebe, Clara Brumley, and Emma Brumley.

He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in business, after which he began working for his father at A. V. Beebe Drilling & Supply Co. Later in 1985, he helped found Beebe Drilling and Supply Co., where he served as president.

Outside of the oil field, he loved animals, whether training horses, team penning, or raising cattle. A prankster in childhood, he kept a ready sense of humor all his life, balanced by a strong work ethic and a desire to support his family. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved its community deeply.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Greg Smart, Dr. Jeffrey White, cousin of David, and the Emergency Room and ICU staff of South Arkansas Regional Hospital, and the staff of Melvin’s Discount Pharmacy for their care and kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Clark Whitney officiating.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
