

Dorothy Virginia Goodwin Henley, 83, of Conway and formerly of Norphlet, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Conway. She was born August 7, 1931, to Lelas R. and Edith Longing Goodwin in Norphlet, Arkansas.
After graduating from Norphlet High School, she married Floyd E. Henley on February 18, 1949. Together they established Hillview Egg Farm and Henley Feed and Farm Supply. In 1973 the Henley family was named Union County Farm Family of the Year. In 1982, they founded Henley Auction Service and for over 25 years held auctions throughout South Arkansas. Mrs. Henley’s greatest joy and highest calling was in her role as wife and mother, which she fulfilled with an abundance of love. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Norphlet for most of her life, and later First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her loving husband of 65 years, Floyd Eric Henley.
Those left to cherish her memory are four sons and one daughter, Ric Henley (Karen) of Hot Springs, Waylan Henley (Becky) of Springdale, Holly Rambin (Glenn) of Grady, Richard Henley (Amanda) of Conway, and Keldon Henley (Celeste) of Arkadelphia; one brother, Earl Bowerman (Karen) of Lake Oswego, OR; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one expected.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Norphlet Fellowship Hall. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 3:00 with Rev. Marcus Rogers officiating. The nine grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow at Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directions.
