Elena Cassino Estes

Elena Victoria Cassino Estes, age 101, of El Dorado, Arkansas peacefully passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at her home. Elena was born on October 5, 1921 in Vicksburg, MS.; the daughter of Vincent Cassino and Rosalie Agnes Bove Cassino.

Elena was an active member of St Mary's Episcopal Church serving in the food pantry, a member of the Daughters of the King, an Acolyte for the Church, volunteering to work in the Church office, Clerk of the Vestry and served on Angel Food. She retired from First National Bank. Following retirement she enjoyed traveling to Italy to visit relatives, attaining Master Gardener designation, and was very involved in the Master Gardeners of El Dorado volunteering on many projects.

Elena was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Linda Carrington and husband Ambrose Foster Estes.

Survivors are a son Ambrose "Bo" Estes ( Shelley ) of Dallas, TX; a daughter Spencer Estes of Magnolia, AR; grandchildren Foster Flinn Carrington ( Haideh ) and son Brooks; Foster Estes (Kenley) children Asher and Jonah; Marshall Estes (Shannon) children Fischer, Reed, Louise and Elizabeth; and Hunter Estes.

The Family is eternally grateful to Charlotte and Faye, Elena’s caregivers for the past two years, for their faithful caring and love that they showered on Mom. We are also very appreciative for all of the small gestures of love and caring thoughts of so many of her friends over the later years of her life.

A Christian Burial service will be held at St Mary's Episcopal Church on August 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM with inurnment in the church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, The Magdalene House of El Dorado, or Master Gardner’s of El Dorado Arkansas.
