

Elmer “Elmo” Loyce Main, 84 of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born March 1, 1931, to Samuel Harrison and Verna Indiana Moss Main in Summerfield, LA.
Elmo Main was an avid outdoorsman, who especially loved fishing. He loved everyone, and was a jolly man who never met a stranger. He always wanted a reason to have a fish fry and had many with his family and church family. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired from Texas Eastern, and was a member of Rhodes Chapel Methodist Church. Elmo will be missed by all.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Hazel Loraine Main; three brothers, Samuel Louis, James, and J.C. Main; two sisters, Eva Knight and an Infant sister; daughter, Marsha Naron; and grandson, Robbie Crawford.
Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Barrow (David) of El Dorado; son, Fredrick Main (Ronnie) of Kentucky; sister, Edith Maples of Three Creeks; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, and from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Young’s Chapel with Bro. James Rawls and Rev. Wendell Miller officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Colquitt Cemetery in Haynesville, LA under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
