

In his early years, he graduated from Annville Institute in Annville, KY, and later attended the University of Louisville. He was employed at the Louisville GE plant for 20 years. He also proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.
He met the love of his life at the Jefferson County Fair in Louisville, KY. They later married on July 6, 1956, a glorious 60 years of marital bliss.
In 1974 he and his family moved to El Dorado, AR, where he was employed by Prescolite. Soon after, he took advantage of an opportunity to become a self-employed Oil and Gas Landman, which he happily excelled at for over 40 years, while traveling most of the United States.
He always dreamed of being a cowboy and the cowboy lifestyle, making his vacation to the Teton Mountains the most majestic, unique and beautiful site he had ever seen.
His passionate political commentary and enthusiastic basketball armchair coaching for the Kentucky Wildcats will not be forgotten.
He was a member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church and was a Mason for over 50 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Herbert and Bennie Cunagin; his sister, Delores Hardy; and a brother, Herbert E. Cunagin.
Left to cherish his memory, along with his wife Eva, are his daughter, Beth Choat and her husband, Ron of El Dorado; his son, Scott Cunagin and his wife, Becky of Harrison, AR; and his daughter, Meredith Anne Roton of El Dorado, AR; six grandchildren, Jessica Choat Warden and her husband, Jess, Lauren and Nicole Bergeron, Austin and Ryan Roton and Hunter Meeks; three great-grandchildren, Hayden Hammons, Xander Campbell, and Jack Warden. Surviving siblings include two sisters, Jeannette Ponder of Knoxville, TN, and Bobbie Norton of Louisville, KY; and two brothers, Danny and Jim “Berle” Cunagin also of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom lovingly referred to him as Uncle Brown.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Young’s Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at Arlington Memorial Park.
