

Jack Edward Deckard, 87, of El Dorado passed away, Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born February 6, 1930, to Carl Edward and Catherine Caroline Holmes Deckard in El Dorado, AR.
He worked as an operator at Monsanto for 30 years, and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, shoeing horses, and going to the American Legion dances with his late wife, Lorine.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, Ella Dufrene Deckard, his second wife, Lorine Reynolds Deckard; step-daughter, Janice Jo Reynolds Summerville; and brother, Johnny Bob Deckard.
Survivors include his three grandchildren; Lorie Ann Barham (Robert) of Homer, LA, Charles Ray Sellers (Michelle) of Smackover and Cindy Williams (Clay) of Louann, AR; ten great grandchildren, Kimberly Bussell (Max), Brandon Bussell (Misty), Robert Barham, Jr., Ashley Masters (Ryan), Timothy Thurlkill (Brittany), Casey Howe, Colby Howe (Linda), Kastle Howe (Heath), Kayla Waters, Morgan Johnson; seven great, great grandchildren, Tucker Masters, Makenna Thurlkill, Grayden Howe, Taylen Howe, London Patterson, Blake Stanley and Trinity Stanley; and special friends, Mike and Cassie Kaplan.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. J.D. Weido officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
