

He was born February 4, 1949, in Hampton, AR. James was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was retired from Anthony Sawmill where he worked as an Edger.
Preceding him in death are his father, Roy Lee Hines; mother, Jo Ann McKinzie Pepper; wife, Jennie Mae Parker Hines; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include his three brothers, Patrick Hines of Warren, Berry Pepper of Calion, Paul Hines of Alabama, three sisters, Tina Ray Carroll of El Dorado, Eva Watts, April Hines both of Demopolis, AL; step-father, Charles Pepper of Calion; son, Rodney Parker of Norphlet; daughter, Paris Ann Champagne of Rayne, LA; three grandchildren, Christie, Trae, and Tristen Powell; two cousins, Thomas and Gayle Hanes of Old Union, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2016, in Young’s Chapel. Cremation services are entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
