He was born April 22, 1920, to James Harris McKinney and Annie Pearl Cobb in Lapile, Arkansas. Mr. McKinney was a member of Hillsboro St. Church of Christ, a veteran of World War II, and an assistant parts manager at Marks Ford Company.
Preceding him in death are his parents and sister Opal Poe.
Survivors include his wife, of 65 years, Katherine Eloise McKinney of El Dorado; daughter, Kathy McKinney of El Dorado; sisters, Lillie (Kenneth) Beckwith of Bryant, AR, Janeece Parker of Calion, AR, Lettie Sue McKinney and Merlyn Ware both of El Dorado.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, February 27, 2012, at Young’s Chapel with John Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Young’s.
