James worked for Intermedics Inc. as a Test Engineer Technician and was a Navy veteran.
He is preceded by his parents and his wife of 57 years, Jacklyn Lee Parks. Also preceding him are his brothers; Walter Parks, Ray Parks, George Parks, and his sisters; Marilyn Edmonds, Billie Hammons, and Phyliss Drehur.
Survivors include his son Jeffrey Parks and granddaughter Olivia Parks of Forney, Texas. His brother Joe Allen Parks and sister-in-laws Cora Parks and Pat Parks.
Services were conducted by Young's Funeral Directors in El Dorado and A Good Hope Memorial Gardens in Sunnyvale, Texas.
