

Jimmie T. Baldwin, 89 of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born February 24, 1925 In Caddo Gap, Arkansas to the late Mack Hatchet and Myrtle Hanna Baldwin.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and served as a medic in World War II. He was retired from both Monsanto and El Dorado Chemical. Jimmie was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church serving in various capacities. He particularly enjoyed his time spent singing with the church choir. Jimmie loved fishing, was an avid reade,r and a devoted Razorback fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mack and Sid Baldwin; and sister, Betty Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Baldwin of El Dorado; son, James T. “Rusty” Baldwin and wife Anne of Little Rock, AR; and daughter, Terri Rockett and husband Mike of Lillie, LA. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Baldwin and wife Allene of Benton, AR; and sister, DeLois Shelton and husband Walter of North Little Rock, AR. Grandchildren surviving him are Lauren and Mary Kathryn Rockett and Cora E. Crary. He is also survived by a favorite sister-in-law, Tommie Lou Little and husband Ronnie of Rogers, AR.
A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 16, 2014 with Rev. Winston Roden officiating and under the direction of Young’s. A visitation will be held at10:00 AM Tuesday at Young’s Funeral Directors.
