John Clayton Abbott Sr.

Born on December 12, 1939 in El Dorado, AR; John was the only child of John Benjamin Abbott and Alice Grayson Abbott. John was a member of First United Methodist Church El Dorado. John was a Rancher and Tree Farmer who instilled in his children and grandchildren a love of the land and God's creatures. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a Master Gardener and active in the Union County Master Gardeners many community projects. John was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years Charlotte Bardin Abbott; a daughter Alice Abbott and husband Rudy Buckman; a son John C Abbott Jr. and wife Katrina all of El Dorado. Along with grandchildren Thomas Buckman, Jonathan Buckman (Rachel) and son Emory, Ben Abbott (Angela) and expected son John William Abbott, Abby Abbott and Zach Abbott.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Young's Funeral Directors. Cremation services were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
