Pete had worked for the City of El Dorado as a concrete finisher before his retirement and had served in the U.S. Army.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were his wife, Mona Smith, sons, Austin Smith and Timmy Bass along with brothers, Billy Joe Yarbrough, Clay Yarbrough and Agee Yarbrough and sisters, Jeraldine Stringfellow and Frances Burks.
Survivors include daughters, Regina Blackwell (Doug) of El Dorado, Cheyanne Foreman (Temple) of Magnolia and Debbie Bass of Dallas, TX and sons, John "Dusty" Smith of Vernon, TX, Andy Milne (Kim) and Mitchell Milne all of Mena, AR. Also surviving is a sister, Cindy Johnson of Knoxville, TN, and 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a special friend, Dee Brown and a host of nieces and nephews. Included in survivors are all of Pete's friends of the PoBoy Deer Club.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. in Young's Chapel with Rev. Daniel Ables and Pete's daughter, Regina officiating. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
The family request that all who attend wear Razorback or Camouflage attire.
