Kenneth J. Long

Kenneth James Long, 49 of Norphlet, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born July 2, 1971 to David and Cathy McEachern Long in El Dorado, AR. Ken attended Norphlet Public School and after graduation he enlisted in the Navy and served from 1990-1993.

Ken was Co-Owner of Long's Roofing and Sheet Metal and was a member of Norphlet United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Cody Long (Michaela) of Fort Hood, TX, their daughter, Aria and anticipated birth of Vivianna in February; his daughter, Alexis Long of Fort Bragg, NC; his parents, David and Cathy Long of Norphlet; and his two brothers, Doug Long (Gerald Plumlee) of Camden, AR, and Adam Long (Steven Moree) of Austin, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the Pavilion at Norphlet United Methodist Church under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Sye Duke and Rev. Amanda Smith officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Scotty Gorman, Jeff Arnold, Gage Talley, Paul Long, Alan Lockhart and Braxton Lewis.

In keeping with the CDC regulations, masks must be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
