Lila Clawson Willett

Lila Clawson Willett, 70, of Junction City, LA went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2011, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. Lila was born February 20, 1941, in El Dorado, AR. She was the daughter of Monroe and Mary Nunnally Clawson of Calion.

She was a graduate of Norphlet High School, where she was an outstanding basketball star. She also graduated from the Warner Brown School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for Dr. R.L. Turnbow. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lillie, LA, and the Claiborne Parish Home Extension Club.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Max Willet of Junction City, LA; son, Brad Willett of Simsboro, LA; daughter, Lacey Willett of Little Rock, AR; sister, Rowe Ann Delk of Longview, TX; two brothers, Marion Clawson of Calion, Ben Clawson of Melbourne, FL, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Young’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Young’s.
