

Lilla Ioda Watson, 81, of Norphlet passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at South Arkansas Regional Hospital. Born February 12, 1944 in Indianola, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Guy D. and Louise Hatcher Atkinson.
Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Norphlet. She dedicated her life to her family. Her children, grandchildren, and all the great children came first. She put everyone else’s needs before her own. Mrs. Watson loved children even those that were not hers. Her home was open to anyone in need. She was an active member of her church and spent many years being apart of the Awana’s program teaching children. She was the centerpiece of her family and made a little go a long way. She will be dearly missed by so many.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, her husband, Bobby and her sons, Richard and David Watson.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Ray (Buck) and a son, Jason Watson (Amy). Surviving grandchildren are Amanda Watson, Daniel Watson, Gage Watson, Billy Ray, Keith Ray, Jordan McHenry, Ethan Watson, Jacob Watson and Hannah Beckwith along with numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Young’s from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Doug Wills officiating. Private interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe, LA. under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
