Lillie G. Owens

Lillie G. Darden Owens, 94 of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born March 13, 1919, to Charlie R. and Mollie M. Huddleston Hatch in Tokio, AR.

She was retired from Cooper Industries and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Aubrey L. Darden; daughter, Betty Mae Cruse; two sisters, Rosie Looney, Buelar Coach; five brothers, Arie, Arton, Joe, J.T., and Buddy Hatch; and granddaughter, Delinda “Dee Dee” Hogan.

Survivors include her daughter, Glynn Deen Hogan of El Dorado; sister, Ena Preston of Smackover; grandsons, Mike Galbraith (Shana Talley), Tony Hogan (Pamerla); and a granddaughter, Kristi Thomas along with 7 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014, at Young’s Chapel with Bro. J.D. Weido officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
