Margaret Cox

She was born December 14, 1934, in Meridain, Mississippi to Marshall Fred and Willa B. Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Bill Cox; her parents, Marshall Fred and Willa B. Thomas; two brothers, Aubrey Thomas and Marshall Fred Thomas, Jr. both of Meridian, MS; six sisters, Mary Ann Thomas, Mildred Quinley, Ruby Evans, Alpha Jean Smith, Verdaughn Polus and Helen Thomas all of Meridian, MS.

Her survivors include her very special and loving sister, Barbara McDonald of El Dorado who moved here several years ago to help care for her; her daughter, Cathy Sullivan and her husband Reece Sullivan of El Dorado; three grandchildren, Clint Owen of Little Rock, Reece Sullivan, III and his wife Amanda of Lafayette, LA, and Kacie Sullivan of Columbus, GA; one great grandchild, Sailor Jack Sullivan; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, at Young’s Chapel under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Hudson officiating.
