

Marilyn Riggs, 90, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on December 9, 1935, to Virgil Andrew and Eltha Cordelia Howard Huddleston in El Dorado, AR.
Marilyn graduated from El Dorado High School in 1953, and attended Tyler Business College in Tyler, TX. Throughout the years, Marilyn worked for Murphy Oil Corporation and ConAgra. She was a member of St. Paul Global Methodist Church, the Medical Center of South Arkansas Auxiliary, the AARP and Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband of 52 years, William Ernest Riggs, Sr.; two brothers, Rudy and Wayne Huddleston; and sister-in-law, Patricia Huddleston.
Survivors include her son, Bill Riggs (Janice) of Norphlet; daughter, Michelle Foster (Tommy) of El Dorado; two granddaughters, Ashleigh Phillips (Jason) of Rison, Lindsey Strickland (Max Currey) of Gurdon; three great grandchildren, Lakelynn Phillips, Kinleigh Strickland, Tucker Currey; and three nieces Gail Huddleston, Sheila Frazzini and Melinda Uyttebrouck.
Pallbearers: Ricky Roberts, Joey Jones, Ryan Dorman, James Parker, James Willis, and Greg Welch.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Young's Chapel with Rev. Jason Yarbrough officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
