Mary Louise Henley

Mary Lou Henley, 80 of Spearsville, LA formerly of Norphlet, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, in Farmerville, LA. She was born August 1, 1935, to William Riley and Barbara Ann Davis Furgerson in Marsden, AR.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norphlet and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 54 years, Glaston Benoid Henley; two sisters, Pauline Garrett and Irene Smith; and two brothers, Raymond Furgerson and Ray Furgerson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Melinda Kaye Lewis of Jacksonville, AR, and Melanie Gaye Elkins (Steve) of Spearsville, LA; and four grandchildren, Megan Lewis of Springdale, AR, Robyn Marino (Tim) and children Callen & Rylee of Austin, AR, Stefanie Breaux (Josh) and children Camille, Elin, and Emory of Shreveport, LA, Katie Weeks (Andrew) and children Olivia and Miles also of Shreveport, LA.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Young’s. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Furgerson, Jimmy Furgerson, Riley Furgerson, Josh Breaux, Andrew Weeks, Steve Elkins, and Phil Smith.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Arbor Lake Nursing Home of Farmerville, LA and to Hospice of Caring Hearts of Ruston, LA.
