Born on March 13, 1928 in El Dorado, AR; she was the daughter of William Thomas Thurlkill and Lizzie Imogene Graves. She was a quiet woman, set in her ways, keeping to herself and was fairly unwavering in her beliefs and how she preferred to live her life. Similar in some ways to ‘Maxine’, she was confident, unwavering and a pillar of support for her family. Maxine left no great contribution to the world… but she meant the world to her family. She did not solve any great problems of the world, but provided solutions to issues within her family. She loved the neighbors children like they were her own and they loved her back.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Lucille Burleson, Louise “Wezzie’ Collins, Nell Vernon, Lola De Jonge; a brother William ‘Bud’ Thurlkill and her husband James Earl ‘Pat’ Patterson.
Maxine will be greatly missed by her children a son Randall Patterson of El Dorado; daughters Phyllis (Winston) Waller of Urbana, Patricia (Calvin ) Copponex of Lakeland, FL, and Reva Patterson of Sorrento, LA; a sister Viola Bryant of Houston, TX; along with 5 grandchildren Jennifer Tirante King, Kesa Harper, Leticia Busler, Brad Copponex and Abbey Copponex and 7 great grandchildren.
