Michael "Dewitt" Donahoe

He was born on December 23, 1954 in Granada, Mississippi. He was the son of Claude Mack Donahoe and Lura Bell Clemons. He was a truck driver for Frank Thompson Trucking. He was a member of Lawson Baptist Church. Michael was also Santa Claus’s helper. Every Christmas he would provide gifts for his co-workers and encouraged the other cancer patients by wearing his Santa suit to the hospital even after going into remission and his own treatment had concluded.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Claude Mack Donahoe and grandson, Michael Daniel Donahoe.

Survivors are his mother, Lura Donahoe, of Hermitage AR, son Kevin Donahoe(Savannah) of Fayette AL, former wife & friend, Patricia Donahoe of AL, Stepson Chris Wright ( Nicole) and their children Casey, Brittney, and Dillon . His brothers; Danny Donahoe (Johnna)of Calion AR , Larry Donahoe of Hermitage AR , Tony Donahoe(Molly) of Mt. Hotty AR , and Ronnie Donahoe (Kimberly) of Harold AR.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday at Young’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Young’s Funeral Home with Brother Danny Donahoe officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
