Nancy Ellen Mitchell

Nancy worked as a secretary at Great Lakes for 28 years before her retirement; she was a mentor for South Arkansas Mental Health Unit, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include husband, Steve Mitchell of El Dorado; two children, Steven Mitchell and his wife Marla of Lake Charles, LA, Teri Beth Mitchell of El Dorado; two brothers, Richard Meeks and his wife Christa of Jackson, MS, Robert Meeks of El Dorado; aunt, Dora Jean Hanna; mother-in-law, Gaye Mitchell of El Dorado; her first grandchild, due in January; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Jim Polk and Rev. Russell Ewing officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
