Nancy Geraldine Puckett

Nancy Geraldine Puckett, a resident of Springdale, Arkansas formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas), went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on March 15, 1931, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Leroy and Blanche (Watkins) Head.

She was married to George Dennis Puckett for 66 years before his death in 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dennis Puckett; her parents, Leroy and Blanche Head; and her brothers, Edwin Lamar Head and William Thomas Head.

Geraldine was a retired schoolteacher in the El Dorado School District, where she served for more than 30 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas, for most of her life, where she helped establish the church library. After moving to Springdale, Arkansas, to be near her children, she made Cross Church her church home. She was an avid reader and loved working word search and jigsaw puzzles. These favorite pastimes kept her mind sharp until the end of her days. She was also an avid bird watcher and could name every species of birds.

Survivors include her son, Lamar Puckett; daughter, Lynda (Melvin) Cline; and son, Larry (Terri) Puckett, all of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren John (Krystal) Swint, Leslie (Ryan) Petersen, Micah (Kelsey) Puckett, Betsy (Scott “Bo”) Woloszyn, Aaron (Maggie) Cline, Robin (Christopher) Lawson, and Lisa (David) Koon; and great-grandchildren Maxine and Roxann Petersen, Haylee and Kylee Swint, Caleb Cain, Daniel Hines, Sam Koon, Brandon East, Jordan and Isabella Woloszyn, and Riley Jo and Hudson Puckett.

A visitation will be held at Young’s Funeral Directors, located at 508 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730, on February 2, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the same location on February 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Library Fund in El Dorado or to Cross Church in Springdale.
