

He was a member of West Side Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing with his two sons and family. He was known for playing jokes on people, along with playing dominos and other board games with friends and family.
He worked for Colonial Bakery and Miller Transport. Before retiring from Miller Transport, he received a “Million Mile” belt buckle as well as other mileage tokens. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Clarence, Preston, Thurman and Harold Barker, Sr.; Sister Mabeline “Jean” Hurt.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Becky Barker of El Dorado; two sons, Allen Barker, Dean Barker (Michelle); two sisters, Christine Holmes of Magnolia, Ruby Wilson (Gary); two brothers, Clifton Barker (Wilma), Roland Barker, Jr. (Crystal); grandchildren, Kayla Thomas, Christopher Barker (Casandra), and Justin Yarbrough; three great grandchildren Aiden Whatley, Audrey and Beau Luke Barker; all of El Dorado.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Young’s Funeral home.
Funeral service will immediately follow visitation, at Young’s Chapel. Burial at Rest Haven Cemetery with nephew, Ed Wilson officiating.
Serving pallbearers are Mikee Fletcher, Robert Barker, Trey Barker, Mike Barker, Mason True, Bryce Brady and Rodney Wilson.
Honorary pallbearer Bill Wilson.
