

Richard Keith Shockley, 81, of El Dorado went to be with the Lord Friday, April 22, 2016. He was born December 9, 1934 in Norphlet, AR to the late Frankie Douglas Shockley and Willena Sausbury Shockley.
He retired from the Drafting Department of Murphy Oil after 36 years of loyal service. He was a faithful member of the East Main Baptist Church for 50 years serving in many ways, such as deacon, member of building committee, and Sunday school teacher.
Richard was an accomplished wood working craftsman and he also enjoyed fishing. But most of all he was devoted to his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Douglas Ray Shockley, Frankie Bart Shockley, and Lloyd Wayne Shockley; two sisters, Mary Jane Stogner, and Betty Jo Lock.
Survivors include his wife, Joye Johnson Shockley of El Dorado, two daughters, Janie Maddox (Thomas) of Minden, LA., and Keitha Nier of Bossier City, LA.; sister, Wilma (Jerry) Beene of Hampton; 6 grandchildren, Michael Nier, Jake Nier, Angela Nier, Launa Robinson, Nicole Robinson, and Adrianna Maddox and many other family and friends who all loved and will miss him dearly.
Funeral service will be 10: am Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at East Main Baptist Church in El Dorado with Brother Benji McCann and Brother Brian Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Family will receive friends after the service Tuesday at the home of Jerry and Wilma Beene in Hampton, AR.
