Robert David Love Sr.

Robert D. Love, Sr., 89 of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. He was born September 10, 1925, to Daniel Lafayette Love, Sr. and Ethel Eloise Davis Love in El Dorado, AR.

Before his retirement from Lion Oil, he worked as maintenance supervisor for 42 years, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Army

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Letha Fern Thomas Love; four sisters, Dorcus Fowler, Sharon Jones, Claudia Sinyard, Billie Marie Love; brother, Daniel Love; and grandson, Allen Pennington.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, David Love, Jr. (Linda) of Medford, OR, Ricky Love (Kim) of El Dorado; daughter, Denise Phillips (Lee) of El Dorado; sister, Bert Toland; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2014, at Young’s.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2014, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Steve Moss and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
