Ruth Carlene Wright

Born on July 29, 1929 in Hampton, AR; she was the daughter of William Carl Cunningham and Ruth Beall Cunningham. Carlene worked as a teller for First National Bank and National Bank of Commerce until her retirement from Simmons Bank. She is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and LWML. Carlene loved sitting on her porch and visiting with family and friends. Carlene was a person of strong faith and loved her LORD.

Carlene was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Louise Church and Marjorie Davis Goodwin, a brother Hilton ‘Buddy” Cunningham, a daughter Carla Jean Jerry, a son Leslie Jerry and along with her husbands Belton Jerry, Andy Andrews and Clinton Wright.

Survivors are her sons Byron (Ann) Jerry of El Dorado and Galen (Susan) Jerry of Crossett; along with her grandchildren Brian (Candi) Jerry, Amy Wood, Kristen (Doug) Garner and six great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10 am until funeral services at 11 am, Monday, February 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev Bob Inmon officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the Byron Jerry residence 1408 Briarwood Drive El Dorado.
