Ryatt Scout Merritt

Ryatt Scout Merritt, 8 months old, of El Dorado passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born May 25, 2021 to Heath and Kastle Howe Merritt at UAMS in Little Rock.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Heath and Kastle Merritt of El Dorado; maternal grandparents, Cindy (Clay) Williams, “Monny and Pepaw” of Louann, James Howe “J-Paw" of El Dorado; paternal grandparents, Scott (Jill) Merritt, “Papaw and Mamaw" of Locust Bayou, Lynn (Tom) Baker, “Nana and Pops” of Springdale; paternal great grandmother, Judy Merritt of Camden; maternal great grandmother, Shirley Greer of Smackover; maternal great grandparents, Bob (Doretta) Summerville of El Dorado, Homer (Cathy) Sellers of Smackover; uncles and aunts, Tyler (Derricka) Baker of Fort Sumner, NM, Krystal Murphy “Kookie” of Hampton, Timothy (Brittany) Thurlkill of Smackover, Casey (Kayden) Howe of El Dorado, Colby (Linda) Howe of Smackover, Brooke Cottrell “Lolli” of Hot Springs; great aunts and uncles, Lorie (Robert) Barham of Homer, LA, Clint (Rebecca) Sellers of Haskell, Charles (Michelle) Sellers of Smackover, Kristi (Allen) Frazier of Elliott, Shawn Loy of Elliott, Kimberly (Daniel) Pair of Shongaloo, LA; and 13 older cousins.

Preceding her in death are her sister, Cove Merritt; great grandmother, Janice Summerville “Meme”; great grandpa, Papaw Tommy Merritt; great grandparents, Buddy and Doris Loy “Doodle”; great-great grandparents, Lorine and Jimmy Reynolds, Homer and Lucille Sellers; great uncle, Bobby Merritt; and cousin, Calen Summerville.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Cliff Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Priddy, Jessie Livingston, Blake McMenis, and Josh Byrge.
