Shirley A. Weir, 75 of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born August 16, 1938, to Phillip Lee, Sr., and Sarah Gardina Lee in Greenville, MS.
She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and she was a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and shopping. She was raised with numerous aunts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Lee; and granddaughter, Brandy Turbeville.
Survivors include her son, Brian Weir of El Dorado; two daughters, Deri Dugal of Strong, Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Houldridge Mahon of Albany, GA; sister, Mary Lou Mundy of Fairhope, AL; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several aunts; and long-time friend, Albert Ferdig.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
