Tommy Parks

He was owner of Parks Oil Company, former manager of Sumac and worked at Ellis Watts-Hertz Rental Station. He was a member of First United Methodist Church , Smackover. He loved to travel, enjoyed working and never hesitated to help anyone who needed him. After his retirement from Sumac, he enjoyed looking after the oil wells. He loved his pets Cash and Trouble.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Parks of El Dorado; brother, Robert Parks of Smackover and sister, Carolyn Rowan (Gregg) of Smackover; sister-in-law, Nancy McMahan; two nephews, Bryce Rowan (Haley) and Chase Rowan (Spencer); one niece, Cassie Hegwood (David; two great nephews, Alex and Eli Rowan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Salem Cemetery preceded by a visitation at 1:00 P.M. officiated by Don Parks. Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. At the conclusion of the service the family will be at 1007 Pershing Hwy to receive family and friends for fellowship.
