William Giacona

William Rafael Giacona , 64, of El Dorado, Ark., passed away on April 18, 2026 with his loving family by his side, after a long battle with stomach cancer. He was born March 29, 1962 the only son of Lewis and Judy Giacona.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents , Bill and Ann Carson.

In 1985, he married Kimberly Ann Blann and to this Union one son was born, Zachary.

He attended Holy Redeemer elementary school , graduated from El Dorado High School in 1980. Attended LSU college. His grandfather taught him to fly an airplane at a young age, receiving his airplane and helicopter license. He soloed on his 16th birthday. Later in his career he built an airplane.

He was known by his friends as “Gig”. His career began as a KATV reporter/photographer. Followed by Computer Graphic artist working for Delta Press, later purchasing M&M Package convenient store. Finishing out his career with employment with Johnson Employer Support, and later as Court Appointed Process Server and Safety Firearms Range Officer.

A celebration of life will be held at later date at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church in El Dorado. In lieu of Flowers, please consider donating to Hope Landing in El Dorado , Ark.
