

Adela T. Facio went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 she was 90. She was born on February 23, 1923 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Adela was the eldest of nine, all girls, and was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. She graduated from La Bowie in 1943 and worked as an office Nurse until her marriage to the late Adolfo Facio on September 30, 1956. Adela was a dutiful, loving, dedicated and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church; she was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Adela has been reunited in faith with her parents Manuel and Josefina Terrazas and her sisters, Pilar Daley and Eva Vallejo. She is survived by her children, Armida Acosta of San Diego, CA, Irene Urenda of Tucson, AZ, Manuel Facio of Hickory, NC, and Elizabeth Scroggs of El Paso, TX. Adela is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lina Urenda, Valerie Hash, Danny Urenda, Josie Whittaker, Jorge A. Acosta, Josephine Bolick, Victoria Leal, and Shelby Zayas; and seven great-grandchildren. She has six surviving sisters; nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews too numerous to count. Please come and celebrate her life! Adela's viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. As per Adela's wishes, please do not wear black, but her favorite color, purple.
