Alicia Lewis

Our beloved beautiful Mother, our strength; Alicia Varela Telles Lewis (86) passed away on February 8th, 2014. Alicia was born on Sept. 10, 1927 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, the fourth of ten children, daughter of Julian & Isabel Telles Varela. A loving wife, married to Erasmo Alfredo Lewis for 64 years. Mother of six children (3 sons, 3 daughters): Tony, Alfred, Sergio, Ana, Alice, and Lorena; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. When we were kids, she designed and sewed our clothes, picked us up when we fell and was quick to remind us to never give up. Our sadness is one of great LOVE, for every tear there is a memory to fill a river, her Spirit will always be with us, her suffering stopped so that we can move on and continue to live "Life" as she would have expected. We will miss her dearly and never forget her. "Dear Mamá, we love you and will always be reminded of you, especially when we're vulnerable as we look up to you for strength" Truly an Angel, Our first blessing, She welcomed us. Touching the soul of everyone. "Muchos Besos Mamá!" A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17th, 2014 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home; 8817 Dyer St., El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18th at 12:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 9025 Diana Dr.. Burial will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery West Shelter.
