Allowyn Yvonne Parks passed away February 3, 2025. She was 85 years old. Yvonne was born and raised mostly in Hallsville, Tx. Moving to El Paso, Tx she attended El Paso technical School. Working At the Popular Department Store for thirty-five years she ended up managing several of the larger departments. Yvonne attended Community Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a beloved cousin who she grew up with that called her his "big sister." Yvonne is survived by her devoted and loving of fifty years William Mack Parks, her son William Bernard Parks. She is also survived by a sister (Washington) brother (Texas), sister in laws (South Carolina), brothers in law (South Carolina), nieces ,nephews, remarkably close friends(El Paso, Dallas) and former coworkers.
A visitation for Allowyn will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
