

Andres Dorado, 93, of El Paso, TX, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his grandchild on June 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 28, 1932, in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. He lived most of his life in El Paso, Texas. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Ofelia, and a loving father to his five children. Andres was also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Andres was preceded in death by his late wife of 52 years, Ofelia Dorado; one daughter, Rita Delia Gutierrez; three brothers, Alejandro, Juan, Luis; and one sister, Cleotilde.
Andres completed three years of elementary school in Arroyo Seco de Abajo, Tepetongo, Zacatecas. He held many jobs before becoming a skilled Masonry. He eventually went on to open his masonry business, Andres Dorado with his wife Ofelia and daughter Rita Delia as Office Manager/Accountant. Eventually the business expanded into a successful masonry company throughout El Paso, New Mexico, and Fort Bliss. Andres spent over 40 years building structures that provided comfort and security to countless families and businesses. You will find countless homes, commercial buildings and schools that possess their high standards and quality workmanship. The business was passed on to his children, Andres Alfonso and Jose Antonio. Business continues to grow and adheres to the same standards and core values. He took immense pride in his craft and was a mentor to many young apprentices including his children, grandchildren, and nephews. He was a pillar of support for his community. One of his greatest accomplishments was becoming a U.S. citizen in 1994. Beyond his work Andres was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, strong work ethics, and unwavering kindness.
He is survived by his children; Andres Alfonso (Maria Angelica), Maria Elena De Anda (Oscar), Estela Dorado, and Jose Antonio (Cecy); his grandchildren; Jose Antonio (Jessica), Andy (Jessica), Rogelio (Veronica), Daisy (Sadot), Adolfo (Norma), Denise (Luis), Adrian, Melissa (Ruben), and Cesar (Magaly); and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sister; Maria De Jesus Dorado Flores and by numerous nieces, nephews and many extended friends and family members who will continue to cherish and honor his memory.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, with a Holy Rosary to commence at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 N. Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 am at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza RD., El Paso, TX 79907
