Corporal Ashley Bernice Basoco-Jackson, loving daughter, sister, wife and granddaughter, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the age of 20. Ashley was a lifelong resident of El Paso, she graduated from El Dorado High School in 2012 and immediately began her career as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. Ashley is survived by her husband, Samuel Allen Jackson, her parents Enrique and Elizabeth Basoco, sisters Iris Lawrence, Alexandrea and Zoe Basoco, maternal grandparents Maria Elena and Librado Anaya Jr., and paternal grandparents Hector V. and Ernestina Basoco. Visitation will be held Monday, May 11th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a Vigil beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 12th at 9:00 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors.
