Barbara Dodson Gorman

Barbara Ann “Dodson” Gorman passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born in El Paso on September 6, 1926 and grew up in the lower valley where she attended Ysleta High School. Barbara was a cheerleader and actively involved in school activities. She later attended Texas College of Mines and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Barbara married Frank W. Gorman, Jr. on August 25, 1947 and was a proud mother of four children. She was active in

community affairs including St. Patrick Cathedral Altar Society and Christ Child Society, Pan American Round Table and Junior League of El Paso.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 69 years, Frank W. Gorman, Jr.; Sister Margaret Gaddy and four children: Susan (Larry) Wilson, Nancy (Steve) Fox, Patrick (Susie) Gorman and Mike Gorman. Seven grandchildren: Jason (Rachael) Gorman, Josh (Jessica) Gorman, Molly (Ted) Stoltzman, Paige (Patrick) Woods, Ashley Fox, Mimi (Scot) Tarnowiecky, Robert Wilson and five great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 16, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a

Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral West, 128 N. Resler. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday February 17, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at St Patrick Cathedral followed by Interment and Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
