Barbara Ann Massey

Barbara Ann Sollis Massey passed away on December 28, 2015 in her home in El Paso, Texas surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. Barbara married and moved to El Paso, Texas in 1962. She was a member of Del Sol Church as well as Red Hatters, Junior League and the Women’s Club of El Paso. Barbara loved socializing with friends in her bowling league. Barbara had exquisite fashion sense and could frequently be found shopping at Dillard’s or Nita Jan’s, where she developed some very close friendships. She was well known for her passion for chocolate, iced tea and UTEP Miner basketball. She loved the Lord and her family and her classy presence will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her mother Louise Bergt Wood and her father Joe Wood.She is survived by her son Randy Massey and wife Debbie Massey, daughter Gina Massey, sister Shirley York and brother-in-law Johnny York , brother Danny Wood and sister-in-law Paula Wood, her grandchildren: Stacey Massey, Amber Massey, Mateo Nevarez, Madison Nevarez, Martha Sherman, Alex Sherman, and Pauli Sherman. Services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Friends may visit on that same day from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Internment at Evergreen East.
