Benita T. Avila, 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. She is preceded in death by her daughter Belinda Lucero. Benita is survived by her husband Eduardo Avila, sons: Victor Avila, Eduardo Avila Jr., Albert Avila, daughter: Sylvia Briones, brother: Lorenzo Tellez, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Vigil at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:15 am on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Santa Lucia Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina 598-3332.
