With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Bertha Sanchez Salazar, who passed away surrounded by her family on September 7, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on May 7, 1944, in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Bertha was a loving, funny, hardworking, generous, affectionate, strong, and wonderfully stubborn woman. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent together. She found joy in gardening, cooking, family gatherings, music, dancing, and watching her favorite novelas. Her laughter, strength, and loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Dalila Melendez (Sergio Melendez), Elio Sanchez (Irene Sanchez), and Ydalia Sanchez.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Hector (Adriana), Linda (Ray), Elio, Julio, Samantha, Fabian, Lilian, Ravene, Vivian (Miranda), Raena, and Victoria. As well as her great-grandchildren, Kaylani, Ernesto, Zayden, Kameron, Noah, Cruzito, Andrea, Kai, Melania, Levi Elio, Nayeli, Leevi Hanzo, and Samuel. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Felipe and Tito, and her sisters, Guadalupe, Maria Luisa, and Margarita.
Bertha leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will live on through her children,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who were blessed to know her.
Her memory will forever be a part of our family, and she will be deeply loved and dearly
missed.
A visitation will be held on September 21, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. with a rosary at 6:30 pm.at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St, El Paso, Texas 79904.
