Berthold "Bert" Schafer, age 52, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. The visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a vigil at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM at La Purisima Catholic Church, 328 South Nevarez Road. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 South Zaragoza Road.
