Blanca T. Talavera Varela

Blanca Talavera Varela, 68, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015. Born January 19, 1947 to Alfonso and Olga Talavera, she was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a retired elementary teacher from EPISD. Blanca was a loving, caring and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Blanca is survived by her loving husband Arturo Varela Jr., her sons; Gilbert, Victor, David, Stephen and her grandchildren; Ryan, Thomas, Max, Cole, Cooper, Sophie, Sarah, Nineveh, Tesla and Talia, her mother Olga Talavera, brother; David Talavera, sisters; Gloria Thummel and Sylvia Quinata, daughter-in-laws; Kathleen, Carmen, Cory and Tiffany Rae. Her father, Alfonso Talavera, precedes Blanca in death.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM with a rosary reciting at 7:00 PM at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 8:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 2709 Alabama St. El Paso, Texas 79930. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
