Bobby “Bob” Lynn Walker, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in El Paso, Texas, on April 12, 2026. He was welcomed into heaven by his beloved wife, Ruth Ann Walker; his daughter, Kimberly Walker Sanders; his parents, Lyndon D. Walker and Vera V. Walker; his brothers, L.D. Walker, Fred Walker, and Bill Walker; and his sisters, Jimada Green and Genoma Farr, along with many others he cherished throughout his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Kevin Lynn Walker and Robert Kent Walker (Kassi); his six grandchildren, Jared Sanders, Dillon Sanders, Shaleigh Bohle (John), Kenton Walker, Rhett Walker, and Eden Walker; and countless family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Bobby Lynn Walker was born on October 29, 1937, in Newton, Texas. One of six children, he was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep faith in God—values that guided him throughout his life. He met the love of his life, Ruth, while attending Warren High School. Not long after graduation they made the decision to get married, and they celebrated their union on January 31, 1958. At the time, Bobby was living in El Paso, where Ruth soon joined him, and together they built not only a home, but a life full of love, family, and lasting legacy.
Bob and his brothers founded and operated a successful woodworking and manufacturing business, Tre-Pol Inc. What began as a family venture grew into a thriving company that employed many and contributed to the development of residential communities across the Nation.
Bob and Ruth shared a deep and active commitment to serving others, rooted in their faith. They were heavily involved in Charlie’s Lunch, an organization devoted to feeding and empowering children and families in need around the world, helping them grow into healthy and devoted followers of Christ. They also dedicated time and resources to Siguiendo los Pasos de Jesús (SPJ), a ministry focused on serving some of the most impoverished communities in Juárez, Mexico. Through this work, they helped provide essential needs such as housing, clothing, food, and educational materials, always striving to uplift and support those facing difficult circumstances. In addition, they loved and supported Glory Reborn, which is an organization that provides Christ-centered, holistic care to families in Cebu, Philippines through education and quality healthcare.
An avid golfer, Bob enjoyed participating in tournaments and spending time on the course with his sons and close friends. His faith remained central to his life; he loved attending church, and in later years, when he could no longer attend regularly, he found joy in singing along to his favorite hymns at home. Above all, he treasured his role as a grandfather and cherished every moment spent with his family.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A Celebration of Life for Bobby Walker will be held at Coronado Baptist Church, 501 Thunderbird Dr., El Paso, Texas, on May 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
