

Camille Glancey passed away on July 3, 2022. She was 86 years old. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Camille had touched in some way throughout her long and very memorable life. A native of El Paso, Camille attended Austin High School. After graduating, she spent many years moving around from Biggs Air Force Base, El Paso, Texas, to Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, with stops in Illinois and Michigan, and across North Texas with her family before resettling in El Paso. She enjoyed cooking for her family, trying a new restaurant, taking care of her family and friends, and giving back to her community and church. She was a hard-working, funny, and a lively woman dedicated her whole life to supporting her youngest son Kevin Glancey a Paraplegic with special needs. She also found time to help others and was passionate and vocal about community safety.
Camille is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Glancey, and his wife, Kay Glancey of Austin, Texas; granddaughters, Lt. Megan Glancey (USN), Washington D.C., and Cara Glancey of Washington D.C., Karl Kevin Glancey of El Paso, Texas; and siblings, Lupe Mendoza, El Paso, Texas, Anselmo Sanchez, Jr. (Wife Katie) of El Paso, Texas, and Mary Arvizu (Husband Robert) of El Paso, Texas. She was also
blessed to have several nieces and nephews whom she considered her own children
A Mass will be held in her honor on Friday, July 22, at 11 a.m. MDT, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, in El Paso, TX, 79925.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to St. Vincent De Paul Society, St. Raphael Chapter, 2301 Zanzibar Rd., El Paso, Texas 79925.
